Intro to CineMatters

Hi all. My name is Harvey Gough and this is my entertainment blog. This is by no means a professional blog. I'm certainly not making any money from this, it's just an outlet for me to share my voice. Like most new blogs this one will be abandoned within 2 weeks, but until then I might be able to write at least one review.

So a little bit about me. I recently completed a course studying Multimedia Journalism at Bournemouth University, which was easily the best three years of my life. I came out with a 2:1, as well as a diploma from the National Council for the Training of Journalists, which was a great ending to a tough final year. I'm currently looking for a full-time job in journalism, particularly in the field of entertainment news, so if you're in the industry please do get in touch (I'm not expecting a job offer but I'd love to build up some proper contacts, so please do drop me an email or visit one of my social media pages).

In terms of what this blog is... who knows? Not me. I was once given some advice at a networking event by another film blogger that reviews written by novices get no attention and that features are the most effective content I could be producing. So obviously I'm choosing to ignore this, and will be uploading regular film reviews. However, I do plan to produce some feature articles in future, exploring how themes are presented in movies, or even deep-dives into some of my favourite films.

For now, there probably isn't much more to say. I know as little about this whole project as you, but I'm looking forward to finding out what it could be. By the time you see this, my first review should be up, but after that I have no plans.
